How did I get obsessed with w-inds.?

First of all, let’s go back to the very beginning. I was around 12-13 years old when I began listening to Jpop. The very, very first song I ever heard was Utada Hikaru’s Final Distance. My sister was watching the PV and I was there with her. It was not because of that song or the artist that got be completely obsessed with Jpop. Final Distance only introduced me to Jpop. Then, on one special day, I was watching a Dragonball Z Fan-made music video (Yes, DBZ XD). The music video was using Ayumi Hamasaki’s songs, Trauma and And Then. I fell in love with the artist and many of her songs. I began to search for more songs by her. Then, I heard about Jpop groups like Do As Infinity and Core of Soul and artists like Yaida Hitomi.

Then, as I was watching lots of anime, I heard several artists in opening theme songs and ending theme songs. I found out about Maaya Sakamoto from Vision of Escaflowne and RahXephon. I even found out about Asian Kung-Fu Generation and Orange Range from Naruto. I got deeper into Jpop. I started listening to other artists like melody, MIZ, and Hitomi Shimatani. When my interest of Hitomi Shimatani sparked up, my online friend Anubis ~_^ sent me several CDs of her, Ayumi Hamasaki and several other artists.

In one of the CDs was a PV of w-inds.! When I first watched it, I was not very into them. Then, days later, I had watched it over and over because I loved the part after the rap, then the pause and the vocalist would start singing again. I fell in love with the song. Then, I went in a search for “w-inds.” and I saw pictures of them. They looked okay at first because the pictures I saw of them was when they were very young. XD So, I heard other songs by them like Super Lover ~I Need You Tonight~. The PV was so addicting and sexy that I had it on repeat for days! Then, I heard Kirei Da and I fell in love with Keita Tachibana, the vocalist. I got more songs by them and fell in love with each of them - with the exception of some songs. XD

I realized that I was in love with them. I could not stop listening to them! XD I bought many of their merchandise from YesAsia and I love every single thing I have. X3 So, this was how my interest of w-inds. grew. I started listening to other Jpop boy groups like Lead, FLAME, and NewS. W-inds. has changed my views of boy groups. I never listened to them until I heard w-inds. XD I do not know where I would be if w-inds. was not in my life. >3
