Domain

Technical Information

On July 19th, 2005, I registered Unfading-Scar.Net at Netrillium. I bought hosting from Tengun. On July 20th, 2005, everything was set up. On August 12th, 2005, I canceled my account at Tengun’s and moved to Surpass Hosting.

Since I have been with Netrillium for about a year, their domain registrations are great and reliable. I got the confirmation of my domain name the next day. As for Tengun, I have been using their service for only about a day and it was good so far. After some days, I decided to change my host because Tengun did not provide what I wanted. Surpass gave more and I like their Cpanel more so (not to mention that I was more familiar with SurpassHosting).

As of June 12th, 2008, I transferred my domain name to NameCheap. I have more control of my domain name and other great features provided by them.

The Name

Ah, the name. The essential. The identity.

I chose Unfading-Scar.net because it was cool. XD Haha, well, actually I was debating between many domain names like, Useless-Feelings, Distant-Paradise, Changing-Sky, Already-Fallen, and Unhealing-Feelings. ^^ In the end, I was down to Useless-Feelings and Unfading-Scar. Those names came from two songs. Useless-Feelings came from w-inds.’s Kirei Da while Unfading-Scar came from Ayumi Hamasaki’s Memorial Address

I remember I went to sleep late that night feeling uneasy
And had a very sad dream
The phone started to ring in the morning, breaking the silence
And the premonition became a reality
Leaving an unfading scar on my heart
You became a star by yourself

I chose Unfading-Scar at the end because my sister helped me choose it. Even though I wanted something w-inds. related, I thought Unfading-Scar was a good choice. =)

Past Domains

My first domain was Crystal-Wings.Net. It was actually shared with my sister for some time. It was hosted on CyberPixels. The name was bought from there too. I can’t say I really liked this domain though. It was okay, but I started not liking the name or the host (I read the horror stories). So, I decided to get a new one.

My 2nd domain was Tsugiri.Net. It was named after a character from the manga, Alichino. It was also hosted on Surpass Hosting (A great hosting place, by the way). The name was bought from Netrillium. Why did I choose Tsugiri.net? Well, I wanted an anime/manga related domain name. I was currently in love with the manga, Alichino and Tsugiri was such a hot bishounen… so why not? X3 Then, it was canceled by me because I got a new domain name.

Without these sites, people and whatnot, Unfading-Scar would have never been made.
