Because simplicity is nice…

Hiya everyone,

I suddenly had time and inspiration to make a new layout (finally!). Time, because I am putting off my homework and inspiration, because I opened PhotoShop. It’s still blue XD. It’s pretty simple and mainly used PhotoShop’s custom shapes. But, I still like it.

This layout is pretty different from what I have been doing in the past. It is usually content plus column. But, I have been wanting to do something different – mostly the navigation. Although it might be the most efficient (because you’d have to scroll down and then scroll back up…), I do like it. Hopefully it won’t be a hassle for visitors. Also, the top links are a little different too. I have added the hosting page which leads to a new page for hosting. The skip down is to view the columns on the bottom.

poupeegirl So, what have I been doing? Basically, in my free time, I have stumbled upon this addicting and strange Japanese website (with some English translations) known as Poupee Girl! What is this? It’s an online doll site, where you post up your cute things (clothes, dolls, and whatnot) and you get ribbons. With the ribbons, you can buy clothes for your doll. I seriously find it addicting. I’ve been playing on it for over a month or so. And, to be quite honest, I am not your typical cute-loving-pink-shopping-addict type of girl. But, I have gotten others to become addicted to this website. So, maybe you’d like to play too? If you would allow me to refer you (you get a free shirt!), I will be more than happy to do so. See my Poupee Girl ;D

Besides that, I have also stumbled onto FMyLife.com! People submit situations that have happened to them in their life. It’s usually bad. I don’t suggest young children reading them – they involve adult situations sometimes. But, it’s a hilarious read (at the same time, you feel sorry for the people..) but I read it almost every day.

Sadly, those two websites take up most of my time that I haven’t really been PhotoShop-ing for fun.

Lastly, I know there are some errors on the new layout. I am still fixing them *kicks IE*. Thank you!

Little Cakes in a Cup

Hiya everyone,

Before I start with my blog entry, I want to shamelessly advertise my new domain (that has yet to be a purpose for the online world), Yoite.ORG! (I told you it was something related to my obsession, Nabari no Ou cough.) I always wanted a .ORG domain to be honest.

I forgot what day but my sister wanted to bake cupcakes because we had the ingredients and were bored. So, we wanted to make something different and special. We had individual hershey kisses around so we decided to put that in with the cupcake mix. I unwrapped about 10 hershey kisses and microwaved them for about 30 seconds, but there were still some chunks, as in they were not all melted. We thought it would be okay because we assumed that we would be able to crush it with the whisk in the mixing bowl.

But, it did not come out as planned. The chunks would not break. So, we tried it again (for the same mix). This time we microwaved the hershey kisses longer (for about a minute and fifteen seconds). It came out melted and we mixed it in the bowl. Then we poured them into the individual cups and we could see the unbroken chunks of hershey kisses. D:

Finally, the cupcakes were in the oven and baking. After that, we put them in the fridge for cooling. After a while, we took them out. I decorated them with dark chocolate frosting and vanilla frosting. Please note I suck at decorating these so they’re all ugly looking but the frosting taste so good. xD

If you can see, I tried to make one of the cupcakes have a ying yang kind of symbol – the second one from the left of the second row of the first picture. I also covered one with dark chocolate frosting and put a “drop” of vanilla frosting on the top.

Don’t let the looks decieve you because the taste was actually pretty good. I didn’t really taste the hershey kisses. But, I sure saw them:

And, of course, we had some reject ones where we had problems. The middle was very soft. The top was too big that it came off when we tried to get it.

Overall, it was really fun to do. I am not much a baker (I am sure these pictures already told you that). But, it was really entertaining. You could really be creative with baking / cooking. Hopefully, we will try again and make them better.

Thanks for the awesome comments: Jenovi, Cat, and Tammy!
