Midterms

Thursday, October 29th, 2009

Hiya everyone,

I have three midterms coming up. They are all on November 2nd. Three in one day, can you believe it? I need to study extra hard. Two of my midterms are actually open-book, open-notes, so hopefully it will not be too bad.

So, every October (or so) Marie Callender’s has a half-off on pies. I love Marie Callendar’s pies. They look and taste delicious. My roommate and sister went to go get some. I got a chocolate pie:

Sadly, I cannot say I made that pie. I know if I had tried, something would have gone terribly wrong.

On October 18th, I woke up early to find out that my oldest sister and youngest sister went out to the movies. I asked my mom what they were going to watch and she replies with, “Toy Story.” In my head, I suddenly thought they were watching “Toy Story 3″ (to which I saw the movie trailer a while ago). I was so shocked and somewhat mad that they didn’t invite me to go see it. So my mom told me to call them and see if I can still catch up with them, so I did. I asked them what movie they were watching and I heard my youngest sister said, “Toy Story 3.” I wanted to watch it too. I was very excited and happy. Then, when they came back to pick me up, I got in the car and put on the seatbelt. I said, “I didn’t know Toy Story 3 was already out.” My sisters laugh and said, “We aren’t watching Toy Story 3. We are watching Toy Story 1 and 2 in 3D.” I felt so stupid and letdown. Toy Story 3 doesn’t even come out until next year. But, I still went and watched the double feature in 3D. It brought back a lot of memories and was really fun.

But, I felt really stupid for that. For the rest of the day, my family made fun of me for that. They would jokingly say, “How was Toy Story 3 — D?”

Well, I have to study for my midterms. I can’t wait for them to be over.

Senior Year

Friday, October 16th, 2009

Hiya everyone,

Wow, it is already the beginning of Fall Quarter. It is actually my last year in college. What my plans are after college is definitely getting a job. I am thinking about grad school, but not quite sure – I know that it won’t totally be after graduation though. Even though it is my last year, I am trying to get involved in areas of my studies. Get a bit of networking, socializing, and have some fun, I guess. One “project” that I will be doing is a tutoring project. I have never tutored anyone in my life. Sure, I helped my younger sisters in some math and whatnot. But, it was not exactly teaching. Anyway, I hope I do well and do not make the kid cry.

Aside from school, I have been watching a lot of TV shows. Such as, How I Met Your Mother, The Big Bang Theory (which I actually recently got into), Glee, The Office, and Dollhouse. I love them all, except Dollhouse is kind of slipping for me. I also watch America’s Next Top Model, but it’s also kind of slipping.

Well, to shift the subject away from school and TV shows. Yesterday, I found out another reason why I should not bake or cook. The story starts with how I got back to the apartment after work, and was craving for some pizza. We had some frozen pizza. So, I decided to pop that into the oven. I preheat the oven, as instructed. Afterwards, I put the pizza inside, waited for oh-so many minutes. I opened the oven and saw that piece of black thing (seriously, I have no idea what that was) at the bottom of the oven had caught on fire. I was seriously panicking. I had no idea what I was doing — I was the only one in the apartment. The fire alarm went off. I ran to fan it, so that it would stop. I opened all the windows (and balcony door). The fire alarm stopped. Then, I opened the oven again and saw that the fire was kind of dying down. The pizza was still inside the oven. The fire alarm goes off again. I ran over to it and fan it with whatever I could find. Then, finally, I checked the oven again and the fire had died down. I took out the pizza, which was almost half-burnt. Sadly, I do not have a picture of the pizza. But, it’s another story of how I should not bake or cook — alone.

Well, that’s it for now. I am planning on making a new layout for this domain. Hopefully.
