Hiya everyone,

Merry Christmas! I finally put up a new layout. I have always wanted to make a layout kind of like this.  It’s pretty simple. I got the coding and idea from Web Designer Wall.

So, lately my sister and I have been wanting to make a gingerbread house. We had seen them on TV, websites, and whatnot. We bought a gingerbread house kit and finally made it yesterday. We had no prior experience in gingerbread house making. So, don’t laugh too hard at our failed attempt.

At first, we had trouble holding the house up together. When we had that done, we started decorating the house altogether. I decorated one side while she decorated the other. The icing was so hard to use. We had just cut a hole at the corner and used it (we did not have that little “pen” type thing?). Anyway, here the front – which I made:

The candy on it was totally random. XD You can totally see how the icing is all over the place.

The gingerbread house at this angle. I made this side as well. THere was so much icing on the windows because the peppermint candy could not stay.

This is the side of the gingerbread house — that I made. So much icing XD! And then, we started to have problems. The walls and roofs were caving in and sliding down.

See, we had to use a toothpick to hold the roof. XD Later though, we managed to get the house stable and was able to take out the toothpick.

And, so to be fair, here is my sister’s side of the gingerbread house. She had trouble with the windows too.

And now, the overall front side of the house:

I added a “snowy” trail in front so that it does not look too plain. XD

And there, concludes our story of making of the gingerbread house 2008. It looks nothing like the box XD! As we were decorating we thought, “Hmm, were we supposed to decorate the sides first and then assemble the house together?” It would have definitely made it easier, maybe. XD But, as much as it was difficult, we definitely had a lot of fun.

Finals are finally over for me. This whole quarter is over for me. No more Friday classes for me. I had one final on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. I found each of them to be tough. But, I don’t think I completely failed. I have a feeling that I did pass all my classes, but barely. ;_; We will have to see when the official grades comes out.

So, last time I blogged was on Thanksgiving break and since then, my birthday had passed. I got some really nice gifts.

• Three FoxTrot comic books from my sweetheart (mentioned before)
• An animated gif from vero! It’s so cute! x3
• A wireless mouse for my laptop (I’ve been wanting on forever!) from my oldest sister
• A black jacket and t-shirt from Old Navy from my second oldest sister
• The Office (US) DVD Set Seasons 1-3 from my second oldest sister as well
• A “drink card” (for 5 free drinks) to this Boba Milk Tea shop from my roommate

I love all my gifts. They are so awesome. Thank you everyone! Now, that I am on winter break, I will be able to watch all of The Office, update web sites (ah, and the number one thing I am going to do is update this domain with a new layout), play The Sims 2 (I got my sister the Apartment Life expansion pack, so I can’t wait to try that out).
