Hiya everyone,

Yesterday was PROM. It wasn’t that bad. ^^;; Actually, everything I expected to happen DIDN’T happened, while everything I didn’t expected DID happen. Weird, isn’t it? Well… let’s start at the beginning:

5:16 PM I arrived at my friend’s house to get a ride to the prom. Around 10 minutes later, my other friends came. After that, we took pictures outside. Then, we got into this huge truck thing that could fit about 9 people or so. We started the car and then we got confused on where to go. “Where is it?” My friend asked. No one had the map. One friend said she had it in her car. So, we went back to the house. Unfortunately, there was no address on the card OR the map. Then, my friends called their parents to get the address. When we figured it out, the car wouldn’t start!

Around 6:00PM we tried to jumpstart the car, but it would not work. We decided to take two cars, but someone didn’t want that. Then, we all squished in a minivan and off we went around 6:17PM. We got there to the Hotel around 6:27PM. It was really big. We walked in and then looked around. “Where the heck is it?” There was no big sign or anything to tell us where the prom was being held. We decided to go back in the front until we saw a teacher. Luckily, she knew where it was.

Around 6:46PM we got to our table and we were pretty early. But, we did not know where to take those “fancy” prom pictures. We had to ask a teacher to get the information. Soon, we found out and decided to take it. Unfortunately, I didn’t bring any money to take my own “fancy” prom picture — I kinda regret that, but it’s really expensive. However, we did take a group picture. That was cool.

We went back to the table at 7:01PM. The invitation supposedly said that the dinner would be served at 7:00. However, there was no dinner. Only a few people have arrived. My friends and I were just waiting there. To be ourselves busy, we took pictures. Finally, around 7:46PM, the dinner was served. They started out with a salad, which I took 2 or 4 bites of. They also gave us a bread roll and butter. After a while, they came out with the main course which consisted of mash potato, chicken and some kind of beef. There were these small lemon balls and asparagus. I finished it all. Then, they gave us dessert which was a cheese cake. Boy, I was full from the main course, but they kept whipping out the food.

Then, around 8:50PM, they gave some sort of speech and we did a toast. Then, they announced the prom king and queen with the princesses and pinces. That was nice.. and loud. After that was done, people started to get up and dance. The music was so loud and so boring — at least to me. They didn’t play any songs I liked. (Yeah, no w-inds. songs. XD)

Finally, around 10:30PM my sweetheart and I left the Hotel. It was getting boring. We were tired. When we got to where we had to check out of the party, I forgot my purse-thing. I said, “Oh shit,” yup, out loud and ran back down the stairs. Then, we went back to where we had to check out and I was talking to my dad on the phone, tellhing him where I was. One of the ladies, who were doing the check out thing, asked me who I was talking to. I answered, “my dad.” Then, they said I had to “confirm” it to this one lady. It was so stupid. My dad asked the lady where the entrance was and she gave him wrong directions.

Around 11:00PM, I got home. Yup. That was it. It was a fun experience. It was funny how we didn’t have the directions to the Hotel, then the car wouldn’t work, and we arrived really early and the dinner was served so late. Yup, a real fun experience - not being sarcastic.
